My Training

-Trained and certified Labor Doula through the Childbirth and Post-Partum Professional Association

-Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator 

-certified educator in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, experience in both early childhood and secondary classrooms

 

-CPR certified

-Certified Lactation Counselor through the Healthy Children Project

-Completed inter-disciplinary 20-hour breastfeeding training based in Philadelphia

-Former member of the Philly Doula Co-op in Philadelphia, PA 

-Has attended 100+ births

My Story

After reflecting on the unique experiences of giving birth to four children of my own, I recognized that preparation, research, and support were the keys to my own success both during labor and the post-partum periods. Naturally, I began caring for family members and friends in this way...providing pregnancy support, helpful resources, and practical care in the few weeks/months after their babies were born, whenever I was asked. (and I LOVED being asked!) 

Becoming a doula has felt like the natural result of my years of teaching, mothering, and hospitably caring for others. I am proud and passionate about my work and wake up (or stay up all night!) excited about serving my clients each day.
